Eliminate odors using nothing but air / More Effective Aeration

Odor Control

Often the best way to reduce or eliminate odors and corrosion is to prevent them from occurring. The Oxegenator is the most effective and means of eliminating Hydrogen Sulfide, the main cause of odors and corrosion in wastewater collection systems.

The Oxygenator eliminates existing Hydrogen Sulfide and prevents the formation of  Hydrogen Sulfide using nothing but air.

Unlike many late comers pushing needlessly complicated gadgets which cost a lot of money, the original, the Oxygenator, is the still the best solution for reducing or eliminating odors and corrosion in your collection systems.

Our system eliminates H2S ( Hydrogen Sulfide) that is already existing in your system, converting it to Soluble Sulfates while saturating your wastewater with oxygen to prevent the formation of any Hydrogen Sulfide in the future.

Change the environment, change the biology, change the results.

Aeration

IMEX Consulting is your one source for energy efficient & low maintenance Aeration systems.  While most people know us for the Oxygenator, we now offer two more great solutions for efficient aeration of your process.

The Oxygenator is the most efficient aeration system in the market and provides mixing and aeration in one device while requiring the lowest maintenance.  We also keep the critical equipment outside of the process so you have easy access to it.

Oxygen Injection – simple, efficient, and low maintenance.    We offer oxygen injection and mixing systems which can reduce your horsepower while keeping the system simple and easy to maintain.  As always, nothing goes in the process.

  1. We have a major issue in our  secondary settling tanks of scum formation, what will be the reason and how to eliminate this?  Please advise

    1. It is assumed that you have activated sludge plant with secondary settling tank, where the scum formation is detected.

In well operated wastewater treatment plants with secondary treatment, very little scum is formed in secondary settling tank. However, if there is present some floating material, scum will occur. Skimming of the secondary settling tank is essential. There are various devices for scum removal for both rectangular and circular settling tanks. Typical scum removal equipment includes scraper type, rotating pipe through skimmer and slotted pipes.

Scum should not be returned to the plant headworks, because microorganisms responsible for foaming (typically Nocardia) will be recycled, causing foaming to persist because of continuous seeding of the unwanted microorganisms. Scum could be discharged to sludge thickening facilities or directly to digester feed.

In general controlling foam in activated sludge plants, includes operational adjustments, additional structures, controlling dissolved oxygen levels, water sprays, steam application, polymer addition, chlorination and a novel and eco-friendly approach that is treatment of filamentous bacteria with the specific phages.
