About
Prof. Mohamed Nageeb Rashed . Professor of analytical and environmental chemistry, Pervious vice-dean for environmental affairs , faculty of Science, Aswan university, Egypt. His previous work was in Nasser Lake Development Authority in Aswan, Egypt as director of Environmental protection program of the Lake Nasser. He has completed his Ph.D. in the field of analytical environmental chemistry in 1989. His research interests have been analytical and environmental chemistry with special emphasis on wastewater impact and advanced oxidation treatment; photocatalysis, nanocatalyst, nanocomposite and adsorption techniques in water and wastewater treatment; water pollution monitoring, control and treatment ; and bioindicators for water pollution monitoring . Prof. Rashed has supervised several M.Sc. and Ph.D. thesis in the field of pollution, analytical and environmental chemistry. He has authored over 90 scientific papers in peer reviewed international journals, conferences, symposiums, book chapters, and book. Also, he served as a reviewer for various International Journals. Prof. Rashed participated as invited speaker in 20 conferences around the world. He acts as a consultant of environmental science and environmental health for NGOs, as well as a lecturer for awareness and environmental program for school students and farmers. Rashed acts as editor-in-chief, advisory board member, and editorial board member in 19 international journals in the fields of chemistry and environment. His society membership includes several international scientific societies. Prof.Rashed awarded the Egyptian National Award for environmental researches for the year 2001.
