About
Born in Piacenza on 06/09/1968, in 1996 graduated in Agricultural Sciences at the Faculty of Agriculture of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (grade 107/110). After working as research fellow at the "Stuard" experimental farm (San Pancrazio, Parma, Italy and at the Plant Pathology Institute of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Piacenza, Italy), in 2002 he achieved the Ph.D. in Agriculture Chemistry deepening the knowledge of radioactive pollution of crops with particular reference to processing tomato. After two years of “Post Doc” grant at the "Agriculture and Environmental institute of the same University, in 2004 he moved to the University of Milan (Veterinary Science and Food Safety Dept.) as grant winner and as laboratory technician working on: 1) olfactory impact of swine and cattle farms by means of Dynamic Olfactometry assessment of odour emissione and their characterisation with a sensor array (electronic nose): 2) Farm effluent and biomass characterisation to evaluate their potential use for biogas production. Since 2012 Massimo Brambilla is a Researcher of the CREA - Consiglio per la ricerca in agricoltura e l’analisi dell’economia agraria, Agricultural Engineering Unit (CREA-ING).
