Vince Pileggi, Sr. Engineer at Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change - Standards
About
I'm a Sr. Engineer with the Ontario (Canada) Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) and also Adjunct Professor at the University of Waterloo. My role with the ministry is municipal wastewater and sludge treatment research, development of design guidelines and technical support of policy. The MOECC work involves field evaluation of new technologies with a focus on conventional and non-conventional (e.g., PPCPs) contaminants. My past research included activated sludge treatment for the removal of musks and the use of an anaerobic membrane bioreactor for municipal mixed sludge treatment with focus on process improvements to achieve sustainable operation, assessment of EDCs and the use of the YES bioassay to assess the quality of the treated sludge (see my Research Gate profile https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Vince_Pileggi/contributions for details).Information
