NEW GLARUS — The Village of New Glarus was notified this week that, after a review of facilities around the State of Wisconsin, the New Glarus Wastewater Treatment Plant was nominated and selected as a recipient of the “Outstanding Performance of a Facility” 2025 award.
According to the Wisconsin DNR, the award, initiated in 2019, is recognition of “facilities and operators’ daily commitment around the state to protect our natural resources.” Nominations are made by Wisconsin DNR staff, and presented at the Government Affairs Seminar in February.
“This is well-deserved recognition for our Wastewater Treatment Plant staff, both current and former, led by Public Works Director Scott McNett,” said Village Administrator Kelsey Jenson. “They have done a phenomenal job of making sure the Village continues to be good stewards of our water, while also protecting public health.”
