We had a GRV pipe burst, which is a Hypochlorite dosing line to intake bay for desalination of seawater, (we produce a hypochlorite with inhouse electro chlorination plant).

The failure is attributed to a combination of chemical degradation and calcareous scaling, both of which have significantly compromised the integrity of the GRV (Glass Reinforced Vinyl Ester) piping system.

I have conducted a RCFA,

the analysis identified oxidative stress, resin matrix degradation, fiber-matrix debonding, and interlaminar cracking as primary failure mechanisms.

Secondary contributors include internal and external calcareous scaling, thermal aging, flow-induced abrasion, and improper pipe support.

HERE I AM LOOKING A WAYS TO IMPROVE THE INTEGRITY OF HYPOCHLORITE PIPING SYSTEM. AND GET RID OF CHEMICAL DEGRADATION AND CALCAREOUS & SALT SCALNG.
