What you actually see in the video is treating suspended solids and there are several solutions for that.

I doubt if it is poly-electrolytes. The video states that it is found in Soyabeans. This means that the company has developed some low cost method to settle solids. There are several natural treatments used to reduce TDS. Two of them that I know of is Moringa powder and Okra powder. But unless the company that has developed the product and video do not mention what their invention is it is very difficult to surmise. I hope that I have been able to answer your question to your satisfaction.
